Dr. Lan Joo
Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Lan Joo is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Courage, Hope, Care Institute Inc., which aims to conduct educational research and provide STEAM education to unprivileged children in the United States and worldwide via online and offline programs. She currently develops strategies for the organization, designs C.H.C. Institute programs, and directs/oversees the operations of the programs.
Theron Houston
Volunteer manager
Mr. Houston has been working as a substitute teacher for 13 years in DCPS. Previously he worked with the Department of the Navy for 30 years as a retired mechanical engineer and has also worked as a mechanical engineer for Bechtel Power Corporation for five years. He served a 1st Lt in the Army as a Medical Service Corp Officer for 10 years and has served as a Scoutmaster for Troop 299 for 20 years working with numerous volunteer scouter.
