Happiness in My Own Hands

Even if circumstances—good or bad—are beyond my control, the strength to overcome them lies within me. That strength is the power of positivity. Even in the same situation, others may feel unhappy, but a positive person can feel happy. Happiness is highly subjective. It’s enough if I feel happy. My happiness comes when I discover what is precious to me in my life—it doesn’t come from living better than others. That’s why I always emphasize the importance of finding “myself.” Knowing myself and finding what makes me happy—I believe this is the essence of our lives.

“Success” typically implies being recognized by society and getting ahead of others. However, if I seek the meaning of success within myself rather than in society, then I am successful when I am happy. Even if that happiness seems insignificant to others, it’s enough as long as it makes me happy. This is because “I” am simply “me,” and my happiness comes from within me.

Heaven isn’t somewhere far away. Depending on how I think in my heart, I can live in heaven or in hell. Ultimately, my heart is the key that opens the door to heaven. And that key is right in “my” hand.
